Balos Βeach

Monumental Olive - Vouves Olive Museum

The Olive Museum of Vouves is located in the settlement of Ano Vouves of the Municipality of Platanias, next to the Monumental Olive of Vouves. It was founded in 2009, when it was inaugurated by the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew, during the Municipality of Kolymvari, with Mr. Polychronis Polychronidis as mayor. It is housed in a traditional building of 1800, which preserves all the characteristic elements of a simple, but authentic, intelligent and functional, folk architecture of a predominantly oil-producing area in the interior of the municipality of Platanias.

Rotunda of Michael the Archangel
