Agia Marina is a cosmopolitan seaside resort one of the most popular in Crete. Just 9 km west of Chania you can find yourself in a beautiful village that is ideal for your getaways

The popular beach with the blue-green crystal-clear waters and the wonderful golden sand, which extends to the beach of Stalos, is the dominant feature of Agia Marina. Its entire length is very well organized and you can enjoy all the high-level services offered depending on the activities you wish to enjoy. There are many famous beach bars and sports are provided such as jet ski, windsurfing, beach volley.

On the west side near the port of Platanias, amazing artificial coves have been created, ideal for swimming.

Opposite the beach of Agia Marina there is the island of Agioi Theodoroi. At least 100 Cretan goats, the well-known kri-kri, have found selter on this island, which is why it has been declared a protected area. Small boats with special permission, make short excursions, to swim in some of its small beaches but the island is not visitable. Non-negotiable, however, it composes the ideal touch in the beautiful landscape of Agia Marina, and offers for the romantic and non-romantic, a spectacular view.

At a distance of about one kilometer from Agia Marina is the beautiful cave of Nerospilia with rich speleological interest.

The traditional Cretan cuisine, seafood and flavors from around the world, you can taste in the numerous restaurants and small taverns of Agia Marina and respectively are offered many options for night entertainment from summer cinema and many small bars to large clubs with all kinds of music.

In the main street of Agia Marina, in addition to the beautiful retail shops, you can find many services such as post office, banks, ATMs, pharmacies and supermarkets while there is an organized Health Center.

There is an intercity bus from Chania every 15 minutes. The port of Souda and the airport in Akrotiri are about half an hour away from the village via the National Road. The village is at a crossroads as it is located next to the National Road, near Chania and the countryside, thus giving visitors the opportunity to travel quickly and easily to other parts of Crete.
